Aliah's science fair project. We made a put put candle powered steam boat. It works really well but doesn't make the traditional "putt putt" sound because we didn't use a tin diaphragm on the copper tube. It is made out of galvanized air duct metal. We used the plans from this site and modified it to fit our rather large copper tubing (it's the only thing we could find at the hardware store we went to): www.nmia.com The hardest part was soldering the thing together- make sure you use the hottest soldering iron you can find. I ended up using silicone to make sure it was water tight. Good luck.
