Railfanning My HO Scale Layout During the Steam Era!

In this video we are going to be Railfanning my HO Scale Layout, during the Reading Railroad Steam Era. The setting could be anywhere from 1945 to 1957 when the Reading Company owned and operated their T1 4-8-4 Northerns. In 1945 the Reading built their first T1 2100 and put her into operating service on September 11, 1945. A total of thirty T1s were built with the last T1 2129 being completed and placed into service on April 22, 1947. Eventually in December 1957 T1 2125 was placed out of service marking the end of Steam on the Reading. However in July 1958 T1s 2108 and 2109 which were in storage at the time, where placed into emergency duty when they traveled to Portland, PA to be used as stationary boilers at the Metropolitan Edison Company. This was the beginning for ideas to start the famous Reading Iron Horse Rambles. Now in this video we will see T1s at work on the main line of my layout starting with T1 2113 pulling a mixed freight. Then we will see my undecorated Reading T1 (soon to be lettered) meet the 2113 and start up a heavy coal train. If you are wondering my layout is no where near being complete, there is a lot of track to be laid and lots of wiring to do. This is why there is no scenery on the layout. When most of that stuff is done I will start ballasting and then start scenery. Also if you noticed track 1 and 2 have old wooden roadbed, thats because when I was little and my grandpa saw that I liked trains he built those two tracks, so I could play with ...
